Das Thema ist nicht neu, aber ganz genau konnte ich es bisher nicht berechnen. Ideal w&auml;re es ja, wenn man Tr&auml;ger vergleichen k&ouml;nnte, doch es gibt nur wenige Methantriebwerke in der Entwicklung und ihre Daten sind nur st&uuml;ckweise bekannt. Selbst dann ist nat&uuml;rlich noch vieles nicht vergleichbar. So kann ein Triebwerk mit h&ouml;herem Brennkammerdruck arbeiten oder eine Rakete Integraltanks aufweisen und andere nicht.<\/p>\n<p>Ich habe es mir daher zur Aufgabe gemacht zwei hypothetische Raketen, jeweils zweistufig zu konstruieren und dabei auch hypothetische Hauptstromantriebe einzusetzen. Die Stufenverh&auml;ltnisse sollen dem Optimum entsprechen.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vg05.met.vgwort.de\/na\/2929d14aeac24fd1959db97b99b746ec\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Triebwerke<\/h3>\n<p>Den spezifischen Impuls der Triebwerke und damit auch das Verh&auml;ltnis von Vakuum zu Sealevel Schub habe ich mit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bernd-leitenberger.de\/blog\/2011\/08\/10\/fcea2\/\">CEA2<\/a> ermittelt. F&uuml;r die beiden Stufen habe ich mit normalen Strukturfaktoren von 18 zu 1 (Erststufe) und 12 zu 1 (Oberstufe) bei Kerosin gerechnet, entsprechend Erfahrungswerten f&uuml;r Stufen auf dieser Treibstoffbasis. Das bedeutet. Au&szlig;er den Tanks wiegen die Systeme bei beiden Raketen gleich viel. F&uuml;r Methan habe ich nun einfach das zus&auml;tzliche Tankgewicht hinzuaddiert, basierend auf einem Erfahrungswert, das ein mittelgro&szlig;er Tank etwa <sup>1<\/sup>\/<sub>50<\/sub> des Volumens wiegt, wenn er mit Wasser gef&uuml;llt ist. (bei gro&szlig;en Tanks wird das noch g&uuml;nstiger).<\/p>\n<h3>Raketengr&ouml;&szlig;e<\/h3>\n<p>Ich habe die Erststufe fix auf die Gr&ouml;&szlig;e einer Atlas oder Titan II (120 t Startmasse festgelegt und die Oberstufe dann variabel f&uuml;r die maximale Nutzlast. Der Schub wurde so festgelegt das beide Raketen mit 2,5 m\/s &Uuml;berschussgeschwindigkeit starten.<\/p>\n<p>F&uuml;r jede Treibstoffsorte aber auch jede Geschwindigkeit ergibt sich ein anderes Verh&auml;ltnis von Ober- zu Erststufe. Ich habe daher als Zielgeschwindigkeit 11.700 m\/s angesetzt, das sind etwa 1400 bis 1450 m\/s &uuml;ber der GTO-Geschwindigkeit.<\/p>\n<p>F&uuml;r LOX-Kerosin errechne ich eine 13,3 t schwere Oberstufe, f&uuml;r Methan eine von 12,9 t. Das ist so nahe beieinander, das ich 13 t f&uuml;r beide Stufen angesetzt habe. \/><\/p>\n<h3>Fazit<\/h3>\n<p>Methan bringt einen Nutzen gegen&uuml;ber Kerosin, aber er ist klein. Die wenigen Hundert Kilogramm mehr Nutzlast k&ouml;nnen leicht Richtung Null gehen, wenn der Methantank isoliert werden muss (gerechnet wurde ohne Isolation) oder die Annahmen f&uuml;r die Trockenmasse des Tanks oder der spezifischen Impulse zu optimistisch sind. Die Schlussfolgerung ist nicht neu. Ich bin schon bei der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bernd-leitenberger.de\/blog\/2015\/12\/11\/rechnen-wir-mal-nach-die-vorteile-von-loxmethan\/\"> einfachen Berechnung<\/a> vor vier Jahren auf sie gekommen.<\/p>\n<p>Es verwundert nicht das Blue Origin, die im Prinzip ihre Rakete von Grund auf neu konstruieren Methan nehmen. Es gibt eben einen leichten Vorteil gegen&uuml;ber Kerosin und wenn man alles neu konzipiert, dann nimmt man das Optimum. Aerojet die dagegen auch ein neues Triebwerk entwarfen, aber ohne Kunden haben LOX\/Kerosin f&uuml;r das <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bernd-leitenberger.de\/blog\/2019\/09\/08\/wir-konstruieren-fuer-aerojet-eine-rakete\/\"> AR1<\/a> genommen, denn die Kombination ist eben verbreiteter \u2013 drei US-Raketen setzen sie ein. Immerhin umgeht das bei beiden Triebwerken eingesetzte Verfahren einen Hauptnachteil von Methan \u2013 es verdampft leicht, zwar nicht so schnell wie Wasserstoff, aber bei den Temperaturen in einer Brennkammerwand geht es in jedem Falle in die Gasphase &uuml;ber. Die Menge an Treibstoff ist aber geringer als bei LOX\/Kerosin und bei dem wurde schon beim F-1 70 % des Treibstoffs f&uuml;r die K&uuml;hlung ben&ouml;tigt. Das verwendete Verfahren, der Vorverbrennung des gesamten Sauerstoffs mit einem Teil des Methans erzeugt sehr viel Gas, das zur K&uuml;hlung genutzt werden kann und da es schon gasf&ouml;rmig ist, gibt es nicht die Problematik des Phasen&uuml;bergangs.
